Two time GRAMMY nominated artist Tim Menzies is joined by dear friends and colleagues The Isaacs, Ricky Skaggs, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Brenda Anderson Menzies, Rhonda Vincent, Dan Tyminski, and Jason Crabb on his third Gospel album, “He Reminds Me.” This album, produced by Ben Isaacs features 12 songs written by Tim. “The Bible fundamentally informs my songwriting, and and as a result, many of the songs on ‘He Reminds Me,’ function like Biblical applications or parables. The album has themes of God’s grace and the availability of the indwelling Holy Spirit to all who seek Him, while also recognizing that the time to choose Jesus as Lord and Savior and gather others to Him is now.”
After discerning the Lord’s leading to combine the gifts of teaching His Word, writing songs, and singing, I developed a series of brief Bible lessons, followed by songs that serve as life applications of those lessons. Using every day human relationships, the songs give evidence to the truth of Scripture. This approach is not unlike our Lord using a story or parable to illustrate His timeless Word. The intertwining use of the Holy Scriptures and music, has led me to entitle my presentation: “The Word And Song.”
